I’m Adam (they/them) and I am a
Somatic EMDR and Schema Therapist.

I listen and help people to understand,
manage
and
change their life using a wide range of psychological therapies.

I work mainly with depression, anxiety, anger, shame, stress/burnout and trauma.

How I Work.

I work with the relationship between us and what emerges as we speak, verbally and non-verbally.

Additionally, I use Cognitive (thought/imagery brain based) and Somatic (body and nervous system based) approaches to enhance the process of healing.

In this way I work with all parts of you, past, present and future, not just the part of you that’s currently overthinking and over feeling.

Who I Work With.

Many, (but not all) of the people I work with have long term health challenges and come from the LGBTQIA+ communities. They may also be autistic, and/or neurodivergent.

Additionally, I work a lot with people who have survived emotionally immature/narcissistic/toxic parenting.

I work mainly with depression, anxiety, anger, shame, stress/burnout and trauma.

Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with the British Association for Behavioural Psychotherapies (BABCP).

Member of EMDR UK and in the process of becoming an accredited EMDR Therapist.

In the process of Schema Therapy Certification.

Core professional training in Social Work.

Eleven years experience as an NHS Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.

Seventeen years experience in mental health Social Work.

Monthly EMDR and CBT supervision.

Monthly Schema Therapy supervision.
